Register Now for the 2010 BBB PDF Print E-mail

The 2010 BBB (Brotherhood & Barbeque on the Brazos), going on September 10,11, and 12, will mark the 40'th year of brotherhood weekend. 40 years of experience means lots of excellent food from the Arrow Bistro, exciting events, fellowship, and more. When you are not participating in the Ninja Tournament, playing Fat Bat, bucking on the [mechanical] bronco, or entering the cobbler cook-off, the BBB is also a great chance to get your brotherhood and seal your membership in the lodge.

The fee for this event is a mere $20 if you preregister by Friday, September 3, 2010. All arrowmen who register after September 3rd and all walk-ins will be charged $25 per person. Anyone who registers after lunch on Saturday, September 11th will be charged $20 which will include dinner and a patch, if any patches remain at that time.

Note:  You are strongly advised to read this entire document before moving to the online registration form. We also strongly suggest that you print this document, keep it, and refer to it often, up until the time you have completed your ordeal, and become a member of Mikanakawa Lodge.

Congratulations: You have been selected as a candidate for the Brotherhood of Cheerful Service and your journey in the Order of the Arrow has just begun. To take your Ordeal and become a member in our Order, you must complete this registration process.  As of today, the following Ordeals are available. If an Ordeal has reached maximum capacity, you will be blocked from registering. If this happens, select another date.

Fall Chapter Ordeal – (October, 15-17, 2010)

Location: Camp Wisdom. Winter Ordeal – (December 3-5, 2010)

Location: Camp Cherokee.  The maximum number of candidates for this ordeal is 250.  In the "Registration section of our website, Fill in - Print & Pay registration is available now.  On line Registration will be available in October, 2010.

Spring Ordeal – (March, 5-7, 2010)

Location: Camp Wisdom. The maximum number of candidates for this ordeal is 250.  In the "Registration section of our website, Fill in - Print & Pay registration is available now.

Spring Chapter Ordeal - (May, 14-16, 2010)

A Chapter Ordeal means there is more than one location, and a local Chapters run the event.  For May, 2010 we will be at Camp Cherokee, Camp Constantin and Camp James Ray.  The maximum number of candidates for each location is 200. The site you attend depends on the District/Chapter of your unit. A list will at the bottom of this document, under section IX.

 

Summer Ordeal - (August, 13-15, 2010)

Location: Camp Constantin.  The maximum number of candidates for this ordeal is 250.

 


II. Filling out the form:

Many sections of this form are “required” and must be filled in. These sections have a red * next to their name. You will not be able to complete your registration until all sections are completed.  Double check and triple check all of your entries. You are responsible for the information you supply. We may use the e-maill address, your home address, or the phone numbers you supply as a method of communicating with you. Be sure they are correct. I f you use a method other than the online form, print your information and be sure we can read your writing.


III. Paying for your ordeal:

The cost of your ordeal is $45.00. Using the online registration form will require you to pay by credit card. If you prefer to pay by check, print a copy of our PDF Ordeal Registration form, complete the form, and mail or hand deliver your registration to Circle Ten Council. If you prefer to pay by cash, print a copy of our PDF Ordeal Registration form, complete the form, and hand deliver your registration to Circle Ten Council. All registration, whether it is online or by mail or hand delivered, your registration must be completed two (2) weeks prior to the ordeal you choose.


IV. Medical information:

It is very important that we have any medication you need on a regular basis with you. You do not need a medical form for an ordeal weekend, but do have emergency contact information available.


V. What to bring:

Bring with you – In a backpack a full canteen, work clothes, work gloves, pocket knife, rain gear, sleeping bag, ground cloth (cannot share), tent (for Saturday night – can share), shower kit, towel, swim trunks, and weather appropriate clothing.


VI. What not to bring:

Do not bring – any form of food or candy, sheath knife or any electronic items.


VII. Arriving at your Ordeal:

All candidates must arrive in full Scout uniform and must be at their registered Ordeal no later than 9:00 pm Friday. Check-in will start around 7:30 pm.


VIII. Departing your Ordeal:

The Ordeal will end Sunday morning around 10:00 am. Make arrangements to leave camp at this time. Permission for an earlier departure time must be obtained during the Friday night check-in. You must remain at the Ordeal until dismissal Sunday morning to receive your membership card and first lodge pocket flap.


IX. It’s time to register:

You came to this page by selecting one of our scheduled Ordeals.  Go to the "Registration page" to see if the Ordeal you chose is accepting "On Line Registration."  All Ordeals are accepting the "Fill in the blank, "Print & Pay form" at this time.  Use this form if you prefer to pay by Check or cash.
