Mikanakawa Lodge recognizes service at our Induction weekends with a three-part patch earned over several years. Only current dues paid members officially registered for the event are eligible. The patch segments are free. Here are the requirements - 1. A member must serve at at least nine ordeals to earn the complete set. 2. A member can earn a segment for every three ordeals. 3. A member must serve in each program segment at least once to earn the complete set. Program segments - Inductions - Elangomat, Projects, Administration (holding a Lead, Chair or lodge officer/Adviser postion specific to the Induction weekend) Native American - Ceremonies member (one of primary four characters in the two Ordeal Ceremonies or Brotherhood Ceremony), Team Adviser (support with training, preparation, evaluation)
Service - Service Corps, ArrowBistro, Trading Post, Registration, First Aid
Example - Brother Joe loves the kitchen life. He can earn all three segments by staying in the ArrowBistro seven times and serving as an elangomat once and serving as Kitchkinet once. Example - Adult member Bart loves the meet and greet at registration. He can earn all three segments by serving in registration seven times and serving on the projects staff once and as a Team Adviser for his local chapter team with preperation and evaluating their work before they perform. Certainly we would hope each member would mix up their service more than the two above examples. Earning the patch is retroactive to the March 2011 Induction weekend based on registration staff lists. The Ordeal Lead and Adviser are responsible for maintaing records of which members served in each area. WWW, Brian Bennett 214-215-7133
