One Day of Service at Camp Wisdom PDF Print E-mail

The work at Camp Wisdom during the OA's One Day of Service and the Ordeal Weekend made a major dent in the weather related damage that downed many tree branches in almost every camp site. Much work is still needed. At least now many campsites and other camp facilities are available for use by our Troops and Cub Scout Packs. Ranger Phil is most grateful to the efforts.

During the weekend over 230 volunteers, from packs and troops, came out all day Saturday, March 6, and cut and removed branches that block campsite throughout Camp Wisdom. Also, in attendance for the same weekend were 116 Ordeal candidates and almost 200 OA members serving on Ceremony, Service Corp, Administration and Food services. The Food Services staff had to pull together a quick lunch for the over 200 volunteers that came out to help.
