The 2011 Section Conclave was held April 15-27 at Camp Tonkawa outside Abilene, Texas. Mikanakawans joined Arrowmen from the 10 lodges in Section SR 2-3N for a weekend of fellowship and fun. This premiere event presents the opportunity for Arrowmen to receive leadership training, learn about American Indian culture and traditions, and participate in ceremony evaluations, dance competitions, and lodge competitions to see who is the best. And the verdict is in … in the section including Northern Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana, Mikanakawa is the BEST OF SECTION!!!
This year, the Mikanakawa Lodge exceeded its goal of taking 101 Arrowmen to the Conclave by taking 106. We had the largest contingent at the event. Our Lodge also made an impressive showing in the competitions. Winning awards are the following:

Our showing at the 2011 Section Conclave was a success by any definition. We brought 106 Mikanakawans to the party and we played, trained and competed with the best of them. Rumor has it Nick Clark is sleeping with that trophy under his pillow!
